Can you believe that getting to this village is only accessible by boat? I’ve always seen photos of it and can’t believe I finally witnessed it with my own eyes! It was a surreal experience as there may have only been 3 other tourists visiting the village when there used to be about 2,000 visitors per day. This past year has been extremely difficult for the country as a whole but it looks like entry rules are loosening up and tourism will slowly pick back up again. Visiting Panyee Village was one of the highlights of my trip as Nawawee, a local boy from the village, literally followed us throughout our entire time there.
