馃尶 A new protected area has been established in Bolivia - supporting water security for the nation鈥檚 largest city! Translating to "Source of Life" in English, the Fuente de Vida municipal protected area spans over 19,000 acres, securing critical freshwater sources for over 2.4 million people in the nearby city of Santa Cruz. Fuente de Vida protects diverse ecosystems, including dry Chiquitano forests. 馃尦 Its creation expands an important wildlife corridor that connects to Ambor贸 National Park, providing habitat for species like 馃惥 Ocelots, Giant Anteaters, Margays, and Azara鈥檚 Capuchin Monkeys. The new protected area will also promote responsible tourism and environmental education for visitors and locals alike. This achievement was made possible thanks to the dedication of the Autonomous Municipal Government of El Torno, local communities, and technical support from fundacionnaturabolivia, Art into Acres in partnership with Re:wild, and financial support from charlesmoffettgallery...
