ABOUT JONATHAN: Recently becoming a new perm on an Interagency Hotshot Crew, I was originally introduced to wildfire as an 18-year-old aspiring photojournalist who traveled along in the buggies of nearby hotshot crews. After working as a newspaper staff photographer, I returned to wildland fire in my thirties and continue to enjoy documenting moments that happen in our jobs. I've worked on IHC's, T2IA crews, prescribed fire modules and exclusive use helitack programs.
