Mule deer are an icon of the West. Mike Eastman has had the privilege of hunting and filming mule deer for over 60 years. Decades of hunting and observing Wyoming mule deer have intertwined Eastman and mule deer. This project combines our vast, historical library on mule deer going back to the '50s and '60s, Mike Eastman's lifetime knowledge on mule deer migrations, and the Wyoming Migration Initiative. Lessons learned by both mule deer hunters and researchers are a conservation key to the future of these western icons.
