As we wrap up #MentalHealthAwarenessMonth, NYRR Contributors Circle member Victoria Fortune wanted to tackle the subject of grief and how running can be helpful as a coping mechanism. She sat down with Coffey, actor, activist and co-founder of DeFine New York Run Club and the No Name Project, who lost his mother 22 years ago, to chat about navigating life after losing a parent.   Coffey explains how running has played a role in helping him grieve, continue his  connection to his mother, and honor her legacy. We’re honored and thankful to have Coffey open up and share his story. Send love to Coffey, Victoria, and  let us know who you think about while on the run in the comments. 💙🕊️
