LEAVING HER LEGACY! Margaret Van Ormer is an original volunteer that helped save the Keepers’ House and then sent a handwritten letter to the U.S. Coast Guard and asked them for the St. Augustine Lighthouse — and had them agree to a fresh paint job first! She was a member of the Junior Service League at that time, and is a current board member for the nonprofit St. Augustine Lighthouse & Maritime Museum. 🧱She is leaving her legacy with bricks — 12 bricks that represent 4 generations of her family! She has given bricks as gifts on many occasions and presents the brick certificate that the museum supplies! 👉🏼Learn more about Bricks and Naming Opportunities here: staugustinelighthouse.org/donate-today/bricks-naming-opportunities #staugustinelighthouse #womenshistorymonth #legacy #bricks #staugustine #florida #savingplaces #stafla #historicpreservation #womenshistory #lighthouse #family #saintaugustine #nonprofit #museum
