#ThankABoardMember series, and asked the following questions to Benjamin Perry, Member of the Board of Trustees:
1. Tell us about yourself. (Where are you from, what kind of work you have done, etc.).
Before joining the St. Augustine Lighthouse Board of Trustees, I was a 30-year career educator at a public school in Minneapolis, Minnesota. I have worked in many entities of education, from a secondary licensed teacher, school counselor, assistant principal, principal, associate superintendent, and superintendent of the school. I have also had the pleasure of working as a principal at Edward White High School with Duval County Public Schools in Jacksonville, Florida. I have also volunteered on local boards in St. Augustine, Florida.
2. Why did you become involved with the St. Augustine Lighthouse & Maritime Museum, and how long have you been affiliated with the organization?
