We continue our #ThankABoardMember series, and asked the following questions to Margaret Van Ormer, Trustee At Large for the Board of Trustees: 1. Tell us about yourself. (Where are you from, what kind of work you have done, etc.). I was born in Ohio and raised in Pennsylvania and Maryland. My undergraduate degree is from West Virginia University, and both graduate degrees are from the University of Florida. I began my career as a teacher of deaf children at The Florida School for the Deaf and the Blind. I eventually became the Administrator of Academics and supervised the academic area school-wide. I supervised interns at Flagler College and oversaw multiple grants with Duval County Public Schools. I served on the Board of The Florida School for the Deaf and Blind Foundation. 2.
