When #HurricaneIan threatened, the Museum decided to pull its research vessel, the “Empire Defender,” out of the water. Boats are much safer on land during a hurricane. The storm surge will likely be significant for St. Augustine, potentially damaging our usual docking station. Fortunately, oasisboatyard had a space for us, so the Empire Defender is high and dry!
