Staff at the St. Augustine Lighthouse & Maritime Museum are heavily involved in supporting our local community, including our marine community! Our Controller, Susan Mills, participates in Turtle Patrol during turtle egg laying season each year. Waking up before the sun, Susan locates and marks turtle nests, fills in holes left by beachgoers, and helps hatchlings navigate to the ocean. This year marks her 15th year with the Turtle Patrol and her 10th at the Museum. Susan is always smiling and continues to spread joy and laughter wherever she goes.
