Today we celebrated Wilma Daniels’ 91st birthday! Her father, Cardell Daniels, became the lighthouse keeper in 1935 and witnessed the tower’s transition from oil lanterns to electricity. Wilma grew up on the grounds of the St. Augustine lighthouse. Over the years, she has returned to the Museum on her birthday to climb up the tower.
