Here’s an update on the first of two drawing boats for 2021 Luminary Night, the Wood-Strip Kayak: The Kayak has returned from the field house and is almost completed, with the final fiberglass coats being applied. Two of our Nation’s Oldest Port® Heritage Boatworks volunteers, Bill Tyjewski and Will Chaney, built the Kayak. Pictured: Will Chaney (Left) and our Maritime Program Activities Coordinator, John Clarke (Right). The St. Augustine Lighthouse & Maritime Museum will select two lucky winners on our Annual Luminary Night. Each winner will receive one of these hand-crafted boats. Tickets are available for purchase on-site. #WoodworkingWednesday #HeritageBoatworks #Boatbuilding #Wood #ShellbackDinghy #LoveYourLighthouse #StAugustineLighthouse #StaLighthouse #NationsOldestPort #StAugustine #KeepTheLightShining
