On March 11th, 1918, a U.S. Army member of Fort Riley, Kansas, became the first documented case of the Spanish flu. Ironically, on March 11th, 2020, the World Health Organization declared the COVID-19 a pandemic. While this shows us history repeats itself, it also displays how we, as a community, possess the resilience to get through this tremendously difficult time.
