Repost from wheatiescereal • In 1968 Tommie Smith redefined what it meant to be a champion.  His work as one of the original activist athletes, silently protesting by raising his fist on the podium on a global stage, has laid the foundation for champions to use their platform and stand for something extraordinary. withdrawnarms, the new film directed by Glenn Kaino and Afshin Shahidi, explores the salute seen ‘round the world that defined  a movement and inspires and empowers athletes 50 years later. To celebrate the film and officially recognize this trailblazer on the Wheaties box, we created the commemorative Tommie Smith 1968 Wheaties box. Available now for pre-order only on shop.wheaties.com, this collectable box will be released in April 2021. All sales will be donated to the NAACP. Visit the link in our bio to order your box and watch the film. #WeChampion
