When Scarlett was just 6 months old, her mother Brianna noticed she was sleeping more than was normal. Her primary physician detected an enlarged spleen and Scarlett was sent to WMCHealth's MidHudson Regional Hospital, where tests discovered leukemia. Scarlett was transferred to WMCHealth's Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital for care and over the next year, her treatment included chemotherapy, radiation, immunotherapy, and a bone marrow transplant. Scarlett is now in remission, but remains under close medical supervision, sometimes with prolonged hospitalizations. Today we celebrate Scarlett, who despite spending much of her childhood in the hospital, is full of light and courage. 🫶 #WarriorWednesday #GoGold
