At just six months old, Crystal was diagnosed with juvenile myelomonocytic leukemia, a rare form of blood cancer. Two months after diagnosis, Crystal received a bone marrow transplant. Crystal's life-saving donor: her mother. Fast forward to today and we are happy to share Crystal is approaching 3 1/2 years of age and remains vibrant and active. Her summer days were filled with activities at camp and, as always, keeping up with her older sister! Crystal is a happy and healthy preschooler due to the care she received at Maria Fareri Children's Hospital.
