On June 12, 2022, Denison's Class of 2020 returned to The Hill. It was their time, finally, to cross the Commencement stage. "While it doesn’t define us, graduating in a pandemic has irrevocably altered us," Michaela Morrison ’20 told her fellow graduates. "If this were two years ago and we were sitting in these same seats, I would focus on telling you that this weekend is about recognizing that we are on the precipice of something great and we have solidified our ability to be discerning moral agents. "But it's been two years, and in those two years what we have experienced has been significant — both in pain and in triumph. "The truth is we're not the same people who would have sat here before.
