In 1944, Jack Shannon and Clarke Greenaway - 2 Cloverdale residents attended a rodeo in Kamloops BC and the idea for the Cloverdale Rodeo came to life. The first ever Cloverdale Rodeo was organized by volunteers in 1945 following the end of the Second World War. It has been a staple event in the community ever since. An event put on by volunteers, an event that holds historic traditions at the forefront and an event that highlights the importance of community and family.
