#RodeoHistory: Did you know that dancing used to play a huge part in the Rodeo festivities? Every Thursday after the Bed Races there would be a public street dance with local bands performing on the backs of trucks and the entire street blocked off for the community to participate in the festivities. Another traditional event was the Rodeo Month Kickoff Dance, which took place on the first weekend in May to launch the first of the Rodeo festivities. Music was also provided by local musicians and the tradition was briefly revived for a fundraiser for the Cloverdale Rodeo Youth Initiative Foundation in 2015.
