Meet our two Florida League of IB Schools (FLIBS) scholarship recipients, Adam Hosein and Lena Kalandjian. Both seniors were awarded the top three scholarships awards, $3000 and $2000, respectively. Adam, current editor-in-chief of brainwashnbps (NBPS student-run newspaper), enjoys spending his time writing and preparing for college. Intended Major: Economics Lena, a national youth advisory board member of sandyhookpromise (an organization that strives to protect children from gun violence), dedicates her time to increasing the awareness of diversity education, advocates for social justice, and violence prevention. Lena is also a Coca-Cola Scholar in which less than 1/4 of 1% of the 68,000+ applicants from across the country were selected to receive the $20,000 scholarship award.
