Eagles Impact | Genocide Education and Prevention Club Co-President, Maya Slatoff had the opportunity to travel to Tallahassee to speak with the Governor and Florida Legislature members at the Hate Ends Tour. The District of the House floor recognized Maya for her community service efforts and her devotion to combating antisemitism. As an active member of her local Jewish Student Union, Maya believes that this exhibit provides insight and history on Jewish people in concentrations camps, survivors, the rise of propaganda, and discriminatory practices, through multi-dimensional interactive videos and images. The Hate Ends Tour showcases a replica of the Holocaust era cattle car to schools and communities throughout the Southeastern United States in order to help people understand the consequences of allowing bigotry and hatred to go unchallenged.
