Senior Shoshana Folic is making an impact one person at a time with Wishing' U Well (wishinguwell.org) and has been awarded the HUG's Inclusion Award - helpusgather.org/inclusion-award. This organization was created because of detrimental mental health in the special needs population. During COVID-19, these individuals may feel more secluded and run down than ever. This is a safe space where they can practice all aspects of their health from the comfort of their own home, and potentially create new life skills, valuable lessons, and even some friends along the way. Since the start, the platform has gained over 800 different members in 17 different countries, and these numbers continue to grow daily. Additionally, the Sun-Sentinel, Coconut Creek News, and the Anderson Center for Autism have publications about the organization.
