A new generation of cancer-preventing vaccines could stop tumors before they start. Robert H. Vonderheide, MD, DPhil, director of the Abramson Cancer Center, and his team, are testing a DNA-based vaccine targeting hTERT, an antigen that marks many tumors in patients in remission from cancers who have inherited mutations in #BRCA1 and #BRCA2 genes. The goal?
