Dawana Holmes, clinical talent acquisition recruiter in Corporate Services, is one of several Penn Medicine employees who received a CAREs grant late last year. Holmes is directing the funds from her grant toward Grandma's Hands Inc., an organization committed to supporting grandparents who are the primary caregivers for their grandchildren in the Philadelphia area. Through various events, Grandma's Hands provides grandparents with resources including case management, emergency care planning, community advocacy, and respite support. The CAREs Grant program was founded to provide institutional support for our employees and medical students who selflessly volunteer their time to serve our neighborhoods.
