The #WestPhilly Vaccine Street Team Pilot Program is going door-to-door to increase vaccine uptake and reduce racial disparity among those vaccinated against COVID-19. Teams made up of graduate students, retirees, block captains and health care and hospitality workers are starting conversations to dispel misinformation and show their neighbors that getting vaccinated is safe and necessary. Since more traditional methods were becoming less effective in addressing #vaccinehesitancy, we partnered with councilmemberjg and the seiu_org to get the word out face-to-face.
