Where are They Now? Alumni Spotlight!!! This month’s Panther alumni shoutout goes to Shayla Diaz ’10. This former women’s basketball player, coach and PC staffer embodies athletics and art—two passions in Diaz’s life that came together in a beautiful way. In 2014, Diaz began her journey as a content creator on the basketball courts. Eight years later and #ShayzDayz is still making waves. Last month, Slam and Gatorade made Diaz its SLAM X Gatorade feature (video). Here’s what Diaz had to say on it… “There weren't many people out covering NYC basketball, especiallyy streetball, at the time [2014] and def. not at the extent I was. I combined my passions for basketball & the arts in a way that fit me, and just took it from there.
