After World War I, Iowa State staff, alumni, and students came together around the idea of building a student union as a monument to the memory of those Iowa Staters who made the ultimate sacrifice. The building would include Gold Star Hall, a memorial at its heart that could honor those students. Since 2003, several of those whose names are etched into the walls are remembered at the Gold Star Hall Ceremony. Please join us in honoring three service members at this year's ceremony on Monday November 6 at 4:15pm in the Durham Great Hall.
