In honor of Limb Loss and Limb Difference Awareness Month, we want everyone in the community to know that your ordinary is extraordinary. We also want to recognize our team of hardworking nurses, wound care specialists, and physical and occupational therapists who help patients deal with the effects of limb loss and teach them how to tackle daily activities of life. Here is what Physical Therapist Raquel Davis (pictured below) has to say about our Inpatient Rehabilitation program at MedStar Good Samaritan Hospital: "[It] consists of a multi-disciplinary approach to help patients after their limb loss. The goal of physical therapy is for patients to be able to move safely around their homes after discharge from the hospital, as well as preparing patients for a prosthesis.
