Throughout the pandemic, our nurses responded to the needs of patients everywhere, putting in extra hours and extra effort for more than a year. One team that worked especially hard: the 12 flight nurses and 5 ground specialty nurses of MedSTAR Transport. The group ramped up a new Advanced Life Support program as the pandemic started, enabling them to meet critical transport needs for patients who needed higher levels of care. The team transported more than 925 #COVID19 patients in the first year, including 241 by air and 684 by ground.
