9/6/2022 | This was the beginning of a working relationship with wearesoze and kerigoff. On this day, we captured Ukrainian newcomers making it safely to the U.S. after months of tragic displacement and meeting their sponsors who made it possible. This moment changed me in ways I’m still discovering. I am grateful to be included and to have a skill I can offer this campaign. I am grateful to have witnessed humanity glowing its brightest in these sponsors. I am also aware that although here and now safe, these newcomers are still displaced and in a nightmare they can’t wake up from. This overwhelms me with sadness.
