May 2015 // The Adventure to Omaha // chad_dennis_photo and I hadn’t spoken in quite a while when he called me up and gave me 48 hours notice to jumping in the truck for a road trip from Jacksonville to his hometown of Omaha for a job. He said he needed a photo assistant but I’m pretty sure he just paid me to keep him company. ( I slept 80% of the drive so I’m sure he wanted a refund. ) When we got to Omaha- he immediately made me get out of the truck, take my shoes off, and stand in the grass. He said it’s the best grass in the world. It really was the best grass in the world and it was in his grandmother’s yard who had the best cookies in the world. The job took barely a full day so Chad gave me an in-depth tour of surprisingly artistic Omaha including the henry_doorly_zoo where we met with a friend of his who’s office has a giant window facing the giraffe exhibit.
