NATIONAL COMING OUT DAY Every "coming out" story, and "can't come out" story, that has been sent to me during the production of thegreyareafilm I have saved. I took some time to read through many of them again today. These are some of the most meaningful stories I have ever read. I will hold on to them and value them for the rest of my life. There are many who believe our struggles as an LGBTQIA+ community are over. There are many who believe that because we are "celebrated" somewhere- we're being celebrated everywhere. These mindsets will, of course, always exist- however, if that were true we wouldn't still have people trapped in closets they're afraid to "come out of" for fear of what or who they'll lose and of what may happen to them. To those of you who have a "coming out day" to reflect on- Do not ever let anyone belittle how much bravery that took.
