I have been a TED talk fanatic for almost a decade. When I found out that we had a TEDxJacksonville, I decided immediately that I wanted to become a person who would be an asset to that team and began attending events. In 2013, I volunteered to take photos for a salon. In 2015, I was asked to create a video opener for the annual conference. In 2017, I volunteered to produce and direct promotional content for the 2018 conference that would assist in communicating the significance of the organization in our community. After 5 years of fan-girling from the audience, I have officially MADE THE TEAM. I consider this a milestone on my path to being the person I aspire to be, doing the work I aspire to do.
