Celebrating our departing seniors, starting with Zach Mecca from Buffalo, NY. Written by Ryan McCarthy ‘24: “When you first meet Zachary “Mecca” Mecca, you are overwhelmed by his charm and taken aback by horrific music taste. Hailing from the greatest place in the world: Buffalo, Zach is proud of his Buffalonian heritage and will not hesitate to act as a live advertisement for the city while letting you know why “they’re not buffalo wings, they’re just wings”. Zach loves his alma mater Canisius High School, where he got down and dirty learning the fundamentals of rowing out of a shipping container. As one of my first friends on Harvard’s campus, I can say that Zach cares deeply about all of his friends and goes the extra mile to foster meaningful relationships with the people that he cares about.
