Hey furiends, Tour Guide Sully here! Today I want to tell you a fun fact about the Olde Pink House Restaurant! As you can see behind me, the restaurant is quite pink. It's painted that color now, but the story of how it became pink is a little funny. The building was built back in the late 1700s as a residence for James Habersham Jr., a founding father and important member of the early cotton trade. It was made of brick and built in the Georgian style. After Habersham's death, the building went though a number of changes, becoming a bank, attorney's office, and a tea room, amongst other things. At one point, it was owned by Jim Williams, of Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil fame. Today, it remains one of Savannah's most popular restaurants.
