Some of you may know that she is facing a new challenge. Her son Devin, an experienced solo trekker, was found just after Christmas in a remote campground in Northern California. A 5 foot diameter Douglas Fir had fallen on the car where he was sleeping and pinned him in the back seat. Dozens of first responders and volunteers got him out 15 hours later. A Coast Guard helicopter transported him to Eureka hospital where he underwent several surgical procedures. Andrea dropped everything, and after 24+ hours of arduous travel, she arrived in CA.
