One of the things you should get while you’re in Hawaii is a Puka Dog, it’s a hotdog with hawaiian flavors and Hula Dog is known for them. They were featured in Anthony Bourdain’s show, No Reservations, so you know it’s gotta be good. If you don’t know what to get, they have their Signature Poi Dog. It consists of a polish sausage with a jalapeño garlic lemon sauce, pineapple relish, and hawaiian mustard all incased in a toasted Hawaiian taro bread. This was bigger than your average hotdog and it’s so colorful. All for $15.00 After the first bite, I couldn’t stop eating it. It was savory, sweet, and spicy.
