#SummerXMoody as our students take you around the world with study abroad trips, dynamic internships and life-changing experiences. First up is txadpr student Rita Jurado. She is back home this summer in San Antonio, interning with AARP as their advocacy and communications intern.
In her role, Rita is applying the strategic and analytical thinking skills she honed at Moody College to promote policy issues on housing, transportation, health, and other AARP quality-of-life issues. She is also utilizing her knowledge of legislation tracking, a skill she developed during her time at Moody, to support AARP’s advocacy efforts. Fun fact: she secured this internship through her active use of LinkedIn.
