She is back home this summer in San Antonio, interning with AARP as their advocacy and communications intern. In her role, Rita is applying the strategic and analytical thinking skills she honed at Moody College to promote policy issues on housing, transportation, health, and other AARP quality-of-life issues. She is also utilizing her knowledge of legislation tracking, a skill she developed during her time at Moody, to support AARP’s advocacy efforts.
