On the occasion of My recent solo exhibition Turning Wrenches, librarystreetcollective has produced a set of five offset prints releasing this Friday, August 13th at 12 pm EST through their sister gallery LouisBuhl, a gallery and project space that balances its exhibition programming with accessibility, offering unique works alongside high-quality editions. Each set includes five different prints featuring imagery pulled from the billboards I created for this year’s iteration of Public Matter, titled Fictional Advertisements. A nod to the Detroit automotive industry and international car culture as a whole, the billboards included in the public installation present fictional vintage advertisements for my altered and eroded car artworks. These uncanny ads invite their viewers to purchase vehicles for their own journey into the past or the future—time travel machines that can be personally owned and managed.
