I know the idea of New Year’s resolutions is a bit controversial these days but, truthfully, I love using the fresh start of a new year as an opportunity for reflection about what’s working and not working in my life. More than anything, I like to look at my routines/habits and see which ones really serve my long-term goals and which ones well… may need to be rewritten. I’ve found that my morning and evening routines are the two biggest anchors for positive change and being intentional with those set me up for a positive day and a good night’s sleep (which also plays a huge role in creating a positive day- it’s definitely a positive feedback loop!). First and foremost, I’ve learned that I feel my best when I stay tech-free the first hour upon waking up, I like to slowly sip a tea, take a walk with my dog, meditate and ease into the day.
