No matter what the season is there are always elements to deal with in the mountains- wind almost always being the most prominent but sometimes it’s the unexpected rain/snow shower on an otherwise bluebird day. Especially as the seasons start to shift and the bite of the wind gets a bit more brutal, having a good wind/rain layer becomes that much more important. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ If you watched my vlog from my recent Four Pass Loop Adventure you would have seen how brutal the wind really was for us- especially on the passes and the one layer I was missing was a lightweight shell with good ventilation. This rain jacket, called the Hurricane Jacket from sierradesigns , was exactly the jacket I wished I had. It’s super lightweight with pit zips, it is fully waterproof, and it has the added bonus of being my favorite color.
