Our AmeriCorps VISTA program is one of a kind! Bayleigh Routt, who was part of our 2017-2018 cohort, shares why. Each year, members of our VISTA cohort apply their passion and creativity toward helping local nonprofits grow and better achieve their missions. VISTA members have helped with a variety of capacity building measures, including fundraising, marketing and branding, volunteer recruitment, program development, and so much more. Many local nonprofits have benefitted from the service of VISTA members. Just ask them! As a Plantory-run program, collaboration is a top priority! We focus on finding connections between different VISTA projects and VISTA sites in order to foster more collaborative community work. While VISTA members spend the majority of their time serving at their respective nonprofit, they are constantly supported by the entire Plantory cohort, regularly taking part in professional development trainings and check ins with AmeriCorps mentors.
