Of what I thought was just going to be a way to be more involved and get stronger, turned into something much bigger! A sport that I can’t live without! Distance running has literally changed my life and my path! Being a runner with Cerebral Palsy means having to face the reality of falling down more often than your teammates and acceptance of finishing at the back! But it isn’t always a competition against others, sometimes the person who you are most competitive with is yourself! Distance running has brought me so much joy and improved my quality of life 1000%! From being the first ever California Paralympic state champion to running my very first half marathon, running has given me a gift that no other sport couldn’t even come close too!
