Portland transportation officials are planning to restrict the use of hundreds of on-street parking spaces near the Rose Quarter during Trail Blazers games and other large events at the Moda Center or Veterans Memorial Coliseum.
Visitors seeking to park along 34 blocks in the Eliot neighborhood just north of Interstate 5 would be limited to two hours at night between October and May under a proposal scheduled to go Wednesday before the Portland City Council.
The restricted area, which aims to prioritize parking for neighborhood residents and their guests, would be enforced between the hours of 5 p.m. and 10 p.m., seven days a week during the eight-month period, according to the Portland Bureau of Transportation.
