It's Hispanic Heritage Month! While we don't believe that only one month can capture the passion and zeal of the Hispanic business community, we'll be taking this opportunity to highlight a few of our favorite business owners.
Born in Boyle Heights in December 2010, Guisados set out to serve homestyle braises on handmade corn tortillas. In just 5 years, Armando De La Torre Sr. and his son, Armando De La Torre Jr, grew the business to 5 locations and close to 100 employees. In 2011, Guisados launched their "Featured Artist Program" as a continuous effort to display local art and photography at their locations.
If you are looking for the perfect taco spot in Los Angeles, look no further than Guisados. They've been featured as a top LA Mexican Food destination in such publications as Thrillist, bon appetit, LA Weekly, GQ, and Conde Naste Traveler.
