Fifth award for the 2019-20 season, THE DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR, goes to 5th year guard Cedrick Coriolan Cedrick was our team captain and team leader and was rewarded for his outstanding play this season with a 2nd team RSEQ All-Star nod. While he did have a career year on the offensive end, his impact on our defense from both individual and team perspective was irreplaceable. His toughness, communication and execution on the defensive end constantly made our team better as he often shut down opposing teams best guard while recovering and helping his teammates by taking charges or getting deflections. All this while being an excellent defensive rebounder at 6’0 including being able to physically hold his block outs versus almost any big man on the floor. His heart and competitive nature always stood out and he earned respect from his opponents every time he stepped on the floor.
