A week ago today was a very special day in the history of the Providence Pirates. Several members of the Pirates’ staff and roster were able to meet with Governor McKee, who presented the team with a certificate of special recognition! Thank you so much to the Governor and his staff for their hospitality during the Pirates’ visit to the State House! “As a former basketball player and coach and lifelong basketball fan, I know the values that can be learned on the court. Lessons like teamwork, sportsmanship, and coming together for the greater good all happen when you’re part of a team. I know the Providence Pirates share those goals, and I thank them for bringing top basketball talent to our state and making a positive impact through their partnerships with local organizations.
