Throughout Pride Month in June and all year long, we honor the contributions of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer Americans, both past and present, while preserving the rich histories of LGBTQ+ communities in national parks and neighborhoods across the nation.
Today, we're shining a spotlight on Boston_NHP! In 1977, Boston's LGBTQ+ community held its first Gay and Lesbian Town Meeting at Faneuil Hall. These meetings intentionally mirrored the historic Boston town meetings as a tribute to the revolutionary era and a symbol of the LGBTQ+ movement's rightful place in the history of American political protest.
