But it’s so hard not to place a lot of emphasis and pressure on those final singles. It’s so hard not to feel like it’s those numbers that determine what you will hit in competition, and if it doesn’t go well then you’re fucked. Of course the numbers you hit during prep are important information but ultimately what you will lift on the platform is determined by so many factors and (probably) most crucially by how things are moving on competition day itself.
