Are you ready for Chiefs season? Today, the Kansas City Chiefs start training camp at Missouri Western State University in St. Joseph. It’s the first chance for fans to get a look at the team’s new and old faces in action. This is the 13th straight summer that the Super Bowl-champion Chiefs are camping in St. Joe. Patrick Mahomes, the team’s rookies and a few other players have already been practicing since last week. Camp is starting sooner than usual because the Chiefs play on the NFL’s opening night — Thursday, Sept. 7 — against the Detroit Lions at Arrowhead Stadium. Open training camp practices — the ones fans can attend — conclude Thursday, Aug. 17. Admission is free, but you have to reserve your ticket.
